Home Truths: Mono Printing Technique

As an optional workshop we were shown some techniques using printing most of these were on glaze methods.

We were given an already glazed tiles and given a peak into to many techniques one that i really enjoyed was with the use of acetate then you applied a sticky medium and rolled this out as evenly as possible, then used paper towels to reduce the stickiness you can then tape this down to your chosen surface so that it does move to much. This then gives you the freedom to freehand your drawing and transfer the medium on to the tile.

To reveal the image we were then given on-glaze powders you lightly dust this on and sticks to the medium showing your line work if theirs any marks that are unwanted you can just wipe them off so this is a very flexible method.
